DTF Pressing Instructions

DTF PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use a lint roller to remove any lint on the t-shirt’s press area.

2. Pre-press the garment for 5-7 seconds to remove moisture. 10 seconds for 100% cotton.

3. Place the design on the garment and press according to “Press Settings” below. You may need to do a few test prints to find the optimal press settings for your specific equipment and environment.
The film is COLD PEEL: WAIT UNTIL THE TRANSFER IS COOL TO THE TOUCH, then peel.

4. Post-press the garment for 7-10 seconds.

*NOTE: When pressing, using a Teflon sheet between the press and the design as it produces the best results.

 DTF PRESS SETTINGS
Actual press settings may differ due to equipment used and environmental conditions such as room temperature and humidity.

a. 100% Cotton: start at 325 for 15 seconds and adjust as necessary, high pressure.

 b. Polyester Blend: 270-290F for 15 seconds and adjust as necessary.

 c.  100% polyester: use 260-275F for 10 seconds with medium high pressure.

We strongly recommend testing 100% polyester to find the best settings as polyester has a low tolerance to high heat. If the fabric is a light color, you can press multiple times if the transfer has not adhered to the fabric, just make sure the fabric has cooled all the way before you attempt the next press.

Peel when transfer is cool to touch.

A higher cotton blend such as 50% I would start my press at 300F and adjust as needed, going up with the percentage of cotton.

NOTE:
* Actual press settings may differ due to equipment used and environmental conditions such as room temperature and humidity.

Storage: Transfers should be stored in a dry place, ideally in a Ziploc bag.
